Lonely Planet’s annual bestseller took to the shelves in late October, and has been met with overwhelming success, receiving extensive coverage across global media outlets. Best in Travel 2025 highlights the top destinations, experiences and trends for the year ahead.
This book's thoughtful curation of emerging destinations and sustainable travel initiatives sparked widespread conversation, positioning the guide as a key reference for travellers seeking to explore new frontiers. Since its release, it has captured the attention of travel enthusiasts, journalists and influencers alike, appearing across TV, radio and in major print and online publications.
Shortly after the book was released it took media by storm appearing on major TV stations such as, Good Morning America in the US, Sunrise in Australia, and the BBC in the UK.
Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2025 continues to garner media coverage in major online publications. The beautifully designed coffee table book featured in numerous gift guides throughout December, including SFGATE, The Irish Examiner, and Best Products.
The latest edition of the book features a brand new ‘Travel Trends List’ for the year ahead, which has been covered in several Australian and New Zealand publications, including Travel Nine, Australian Traveller, and Stuff.

From book swapping your latest read in a cool 1950s style fridge in New Zealand or hiking through the ethereal woodlands of Eas Mor in Scotland where a hidden library in a small log cabin awaits, this book features the most enchanting, obscure and astounding libraries.
Hidden Libraries received incredible reviews in global media after its release in late 2024. Publisher’s Weekly wrote an amazing review on the book, saying “Bibliophiles will be enthralled.” As well as featuring it in their December holiday gift guide.
In New Zealand, MiNDFOOD published an article on Hidden Libraries, highlighting the world's most wonderful and weird libraries to visit. The Sunday Star Times featured an extract from Hidden Libraries in their print edition.
