Best in Travel 2024 covers the top 10 countries, cities, regions, value destinations and sustainable spots around the world, and has garnered widespread media success after its release in October. This release has received exceeding amounts of press coverage from media outlets worldwide, sparking excitement across TV, radio, print, and online media audiences. 

Television:

The Best in Travel made TV appearances on Sunrise, Australia’s #1 breakfast show, and CBS News, as well as featuring in a segment on Australia's mega successful travel show Weekender.


Digital and Print Media Coverage:

Newsrooms globally have extensively covered Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2024, with names such as CNN Travel, the Guardian and EuroNews, praising the book for its selection of destinations and its knack for forecasting emerging travel trends. The Men’s Journal, an adventure travel website, also published an article reaching millions of readers, and Attitude Magazine, the world’s biggest LGBTQIA+ media brand, published a spread dedicated to the Best of Travel 2024 in their Jan-Feb edition.

Flight Free Europe

With a growing number of travellers opting for the more sustainable route of  travel, Flight Free Europe, shows people how to avoid airport stress and experience the best of Europe by train, boat, or bicycle. The book features 80 inspiring and sustainable no-fly travel itineraries, which has shown to be a success, with Flight Free UK posting a competition to win a copy of the book to their social media accounts. Travel Site What’s Good to Do gave the book a 5/5 review on their website, writing a full blog post dedicated to Flight Free Europe.

The Joy of Wild Swimming

The Joy of Wild Swimming features 60 of the world's most joyous swimming destinations with a further 120 ideas for beautiful bathing spots to visit. This book inspires reconnection with the natural world and resonates with a wide audience seeking adventure. Many media outlets praised the book for its unique approach to exploring natural aquatic wonders. Publications such as Outdoor Swimmer Magazine, The Weekend Magazine, and Green Traveller Magazine, all featured the wild swimming book in recent publications. Inspiring Vacations Magazine gave a 6 page extract about the book in their Nov/Dec edition. With Evoke, Bella Magazine, and The Weekend Magazine, all highlighting the book in their December gift guide. The Stylist chose The Joy of Wild Swimming as one of the best non-fiction books of 2024, while the Cardiff Times Book Review gave it a 5 star rating.

Also, a part of the ‘Joy’ series, The Joy of Exploring Gardens showcases 60 of the world's most joyous gardens with a further 120 ideas for inspiring green spaces to visit. Following the book's release in September it received widespread acclaim from the media, with Gardening Australia Magazine, Yours Magazine, and Stuff.co.nz, all promoting the book. Social Media influencer Designermumetc (264K followers) posted the book to her feed, recommending the gardens book to her followers. Manaboutgardening (120K followers), Floriansbotanical (52K), and Gardenwithjonny (80K), all featured The Joy of Exploring Gardens on their feed. Both Journey Woman and The Cardiff Times, gave standout book reviews to The Joy of Exploring Gardens for inspiring and educating people on the pleasures and nuances of gardens around the globe. Gloss Magazine featured the book in their Travel Notes section, which is shared with their 360K+ readers.

Whether you’re planning a short trip or a long-haul journey, the tips and tricks in The Travel Hack Handbook will help you and your money go further when travelling. This book will help you see the sights for less and save on transport and accommodation. People want to travel while getting more for less, that is why after the release of our Travel Hack Handbook, the media went wild for the compact travel lifesaver. The book has had two TV appearances, featuring on Australia’s national morning program Studio 10, and on Today Extra TV. The Travel Hack Handbook, also got flagged in Bookpage’s Holiday Gifting Guide, which has 1.2 million readers and the guide is distributed to 3500 bookstores and Libraries. Other publications, such as Stuff.co.nz, Escape, and Where Wild Things Roam all recommended the Travel Hack Handbook in online articles.
