HOW TO ENTER: During the Contest Period, submit 2-3 photographs via email to Lonely Planet’s Sales Manager, Jonathan Tuseth, at jonathan.tuseth@lonelyplanet.com that capture your store’s creative in-store display featuring only Lonely Planet published titles.  Your display may include Lonely Planet trade and reference books, Lonely Planet kids’ books and/or Lonely Planet guidebooks.  At least one of the photos should be close enough to show that the titles in the display are Lonely Planet titles.  At least one of the photos should be far enough away from the display to show how visible the display is in the context of your overall store layout.  You may include one other photograph to showcase a different angle of the display or further depict the display, if desired.  Entries with more than three photographs will not be considered.  Your e-mail must have “Lonely Planet U.S. Display Contest” in the subject line and must include your name, your title, the name of the store, the store address, and a store phone number in the body of the e-mail to be complete.  E-mail entries with obviously non-responsive photographs or photographs depicting nudity, violence, discrimination, or other content deemed inconsistent with the LONELY PLANET® brand, as determined in Lonely Planet’s sole discretion, will be disqualified.

Any authorized officer or employee may submit an entry for the store, but there is a limit of one entry per store during the entire Contest Period.  Additional entries from the same store/e-mail address/IP address will be disqualified in Sponsor’s sole discretion.  The creation of additional e-mail addresses to create additional entries beyond this limit is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification of all entries from that store, in Sponsor’s sole discretion.  Non-winning entries from one Promotion Period will carry over and be included in the judging for subsequent Promotion Periods.

By submitting a picture of your store’s Lonely Planet display, you affirm and represent that your store owns the photographs that you’re submitting in the Contest entry.  If a photograph depicts any individuals with the display, you affirm and represent that you have obtained the written consent from any and all such individuals granting permission for the store to submit the photo as part of the entry and to grant the licenses in these Additional Rules.  All entrants hereby grant to Sponsor a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free license in and to the photographs you’ve entered, so that Sponsor has the right to use, not use, display, post, publish, copy, edit, and create derivative works from the photographs submitted in the entry in any and all media, worldwide, without limitation or further obligation to you or any other party.

SELECTION OF WINNER:  There will be a total of four winners in the Contest, one per Promotion Period.  After the close of each Promotion Period, a panel of three experts from Sponsor’s sales and marketing team will judge all eligible entries received in the Contest during that Promotion Period and the non-winning entries from any prior Promotion Periods, and will select one Winner for that Promotion Period according to the judging criteria herein.  Judging by the Sponsor will be based on (1) creativity of the display, (2) uniqueness of the display, (3) in-store placement of the display, (4) use of Lonely Planet published titles only, (5) picture quality, and (6) how closely your submission follows all rules and guidelines included in the Official General Rules and these Additional Rules.  This is a contest of skill.  Your odds of winning depend on how your entry compares to the others received as of the close of the applicable Promotion Period according to the judging criteria.  All decisions of the judges are final and binding.

WINNER NOTIFICATION:  The potential winning store for each Promotion Period will be notified via e-mail at the e-mail address utilized to enter the Contest on or before the Winner Selection Date provided above for that Promotion Period.  An owner or officer of the winning store must sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability (where legal), within seven days following receipt in order to claim the prize. If a potential winning store does not return the signed documentation (including all necessary releases as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) on a timely basis, or if any notification e-mail is returned as non-deliverable, or if a potential winning store is found to be ineligible or not in full compliance with the Official General Rules and these Additional Rules, then that potential winning store will be disqualified, the potential winner slot will be forfeited, and Sponsor will notify the entrant with the next highest score for the applicable Promotion Period based on the judging criteria above in order to confirm a winner.

PRIZE: Each confirmed winning store will receive a $500.00 VISA® e-gift card intended to spoil your staff!  No substitutions of Prize except in Sponsor’s sole discretion.  No cash in lieu of Prize.  VISA® e-gift card is subject to all terms and conditions generally applicable thereto.  Sponsor is not responsible for a lost or stolen e-gift card or for any dispute relating to the use or disposition of the e-gift card.  Winning store is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes applicable to the Prize.  The VISA® e-gift card will be emailed to the owner or officer of the winning store who signed the Affidavit within four to six weeks following confirmation.  Limit one prize per store for the entire Contest Period.  Total value of all prizes in the Contest is $2,000.00.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:  By submitting photographs and entering this Contest, participants agree to the General Rules and these Additional Rules.
